Hockney's work inspires me deeply. He captures light as one captures a secret—precisely, yet without weighing it down. His pools, his interiors, his silhouettes are fragments of suspended moments, tinged with a clear joy and a gentle melancholy.
I love his way of stylizing reality without betraying it, of giving each form, each color, an almost musical intensity. There is in him an elegance of everyday life, a way of looking at the world that speaks to me: free, lively, sensitive.
In his works, I find what I try to do in fashion — reveal the beautiful in the obvious, the bold in the simple.
